We have many years of experience photographing all kinds of material - visit the Portfolio page for a wide range of examples of our recent work, and have a look at Case Studies to see some in depth testimonials.

We shoot thousands of images every year, so we understand what you need from us on the day of the shoot, and we know how to use post-production techniques appropriately to create a perfect, realistic image.

We also offer printing facilities up to A3 and A3+ size, to provide you with additional options for the production of physical photographs and promotional material.

If it's property photography you're after, we are particularly experienced in this area and avoid all the problems you might have encountered previously -
see the 'Common problems when photographing property' box below.

COMMON PROBLEMS WHEN PHOTOGRAPHING PROPERTY

When shooting property, photographers should take their time on site to ensure everything is looking at it's best, right down to details like levelling up chair backs and tidying away loose cables and bins. We believe every image should show off the space at it’s absolute best. When there are elements that are unavoidable on site, such as roadworks, material being stored in a room, or light bulbs blown, we will always take the time to fix these in post-production, to realistically make the images look perfect, artificially 'switching on' bulbs and so on.

Read on to find out about some of our pet hates - the most common problems we see with property photographs. These are all inexcusable and give a bad impression both of the property and of any company that is marketing it.

Flooded out windows and lights This is when windows and light fittings appear as a blast of light, with all details lost. Our stills and Virtual Tours are created as high dynamic range images – this means we shoot a wide range of exposures on site which are expertly combined later to produce the perfectly exposed image.

Discolouration in lights, walls and windows All light sources create a different kind of white light – again, we use multiple exposures to ensure correct colour balance across the image. This means that white walls will be white and that light from fluorescent lighting and windows will look natural and correct.

Room looks very small and cramped The wide angle, low distortion architectural lenses we use are essential when photographing property. They allow us to open the room up in the image naturally, without it looking distorted, misleading or ‘fish-eyed’.

Walls and columns look bent or slanted On occasion, it is inevitable some walls or columns will bend in the image – it’s how a camera and lens works. However, this is less of a problem for us with our specialist equipment, and when it does happen we apply perspective correction by hand later to ensure all straight walls and columns are straight in the final image.

Corners of the image looking dark or black This is due to the wrong choice of lens, or lenses being used incorrectly.

None of these issues will arise with photographs from Paul Clifford Images. Call us on 07986 861688 or email info@paulcliffordimages.com to discuss your needs.
Photography Case Study - Workspace Group PLC

"Paul’s attention to detail is second to none and this shows through in all his photography. Not only does he go the extra mile to take a great image (including minor clean ups on site!) but he will also spend time perfecting the image in his studio. The end result is fantastic. We recently had our website re-designed and enlisted Paul to take new photography of many of our properties. Having the new photography made all the difference to the overall look and feel of the site. In addition Paul is reliable, honest and a pleasure to work with. I would not have any problem recommending him (just not to our competitors!)."
Cathie Sellars - Senior Marketing Executive, Workspace Group PLC
